Grooming photos are the cheapest customer-acquisition tool in the entire pet care industry. They cost nothing per shot, they recruit new clients for free via social proof, and they extend the lifecycle of a happy client by giving them something to share. The trick is doing it consistently — not occasionally.
A consistent post-groom photo is a re-booking trigger. Clients who get a photo within 2 hours of pickup are observed to rebook within 30 days at significantly higher rates than clients who don’t. The photo is also the asset that gets shared, screenshotted, and texted to friends — most word-of-mouth in pet grooming starts with a photo.
Find one consistent spot in the salon — natural window light, north-facing if possible — and shoot every dog there. Same backdrop, same light. The consistency is what makes a feed look professional. Don’t freelance the location each time.

This is the hard part. Make it part of the workflow, not an extra step. The dog isn’t "done" until the photo is taken. Tie a small bonus ($1/photo posted) to consistency. After 60 days it becomes muscle memory.
Daily is ideal. Three days a week is the floor. One photo per post, four-shot carousel optional. Caption: dog’s name, breed, one sentence about the cut. Hashtags: minimal. Geotag every post.
