Animal Friends Pet Care

Dog Daycare in Panama City, FL

A full day of exercise, socialization, and enrichment — so your dog comes home happy and tired.

Give your dog a day full of fun, exercise, and socialization at Animal Friends Pet Care's dog daycare in Panama City, FL. Our supervised daycare program is designed to keep your dog active, happy, and mentally stimulated while you're at work, running errands, or simply need a break.

Dogs are grouped by size, temperament, and play style to ensure safe, enjoyable interactions for every guest. Our trained daycare attendants monitor play areas continuously, redirecting rough play and encouraging positive social behavior throughout the day.

Our facility features both indoor and outdoor play zones with shaded areas, splash pools during warmer months, and enrichment activities like puzzle toys and agility obstacles. Every daycare day includes structured play sessions, rest periods, and fresh water available at all times.

Regular daycare attendance offers tremendous benefits for your dog. It reduces separation anxiety, burns excess energy that might otherwise lead to destructive behavior at home, and builds confidence through positive social experiences with other dogs and people.

Daycare Pricing: Full day $25 | Half day $15 | Weekly plan (5 days) $70/week — that's just $14/day. Add our door-to-door Pet Shuttle for $120/week total and we'll pick your dog up every morning and bring them home every evening with live GPS tracking. First return ride home is always FREE.

What to Expect on the First Day

Your dog's first visit includes a brief temperament assessment so we can match them with the right play group. Most dogs come home tired — and sometimes REALLY tired. That is completely normal. A well-tired dog is a happy dog, and energy levels even out after a few visits.

Package Options

We offer single-day, 5-day, 10-day, and monthly package structures so regulars save versus drop-in pricing. FurPlan members get the best rates. Ask at booking — we will set you up with whichever package fits your schedule.

Vaccine Policy

Required for every daycare guest:
We require current Rabies, DHPP/DA2PP, and Bordetella (within 12 months) for all boarding and daycare guests. A quick photo or email from your vet works great. Canine Influenza is recommended but not required.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your drop-off and pick-up hours?

Drop-off starts at 7 AM and pickup is by 6 PM Monday through Saturday, and 9 AM to 2 PM on Sunday. You can come and go any time in that window — no appointment needed after the first-day assessment.

Do dogs get to nap during the day?

Yes. Our schedule alternates play blocks with quiet rest periods in cozy, climate-controlled spaces. Dogs need downtime to recharge — a good daycare day is NOT nonstop running.

What if my dog does not get along with another dog?

Our attendants watch group dynamics constantly and redirect anything that is not working. If a dog needs a different group, a break, or solo play, we make the switch immediately. Safety and comfort first, always.

Do you group dogs by size?

Yes. We separate by size, age, and play style so a 6-pound Yorkie is never mixed in with a 90-pound Lab. Small dogs and mellow seniors get their own quieter space.

Can I do a half day?

Absolutely. Half-day works great for dogs who tire out quickly, puppies still building stamina, or owners with shorter errands. Drop off any time in the morning and pick up by early afternoon.

What if my dog is anxious on the first visit?

That is completely normal. We take first-timers slow, let them meet one or two calm dogs, and give them quiet space if they need it. Most dogs settle within an hour — we will text you an update either way.

Do you take puppies?

Yes, once they have had their second round of vaccines (usually around 12 to 16 weeks). Early socialization is one of the best things you can do for a puppy, and our attendants know how to keep play appropriate for young dogs.

What are the requirements to join daycare?

Dogs should be dog-social, spayed or neutered if over 6 months old, current on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), and pass a brief first-day temperament assessment. That is it — we handle the rest.
